“Being part of the Glaze team for the past two years and contributing to four issues has been one of the most fulfilling creative experiences I’ve had. The community Glaze has built is something truly special—it's a space where local artists can connect, experiment, and grow together. Each volume feels like a passion-driven playground, giving me opportunities to stretch myself through concept creation, prop and set design, hair and makeup, and even layout design. Every season, Glaze brings a fresh, edgy energy to Austin’s art scene, and I’m genuinely proud to be part of its rapidly growing creative collective.”

“After graduating college, I struggled to find a creative community again. One year ago after searching relentlessly for more creative endeavors, I discovered Glaze and it felt like the perfect intersection between every creative expression and medium I loved. I joined the layout team and soon became Layout Director and for the first time since college I felt understood, supported, and inspired. I thought back to how much I struggled after graduating and what I wish I had gotten more experience in. I centered all my workshops around those themes — passion projects and skills that could fill peoples’ portfolios and design challenges that could elevate others out of their comfort zones and give them range to show future employers. I’ve been able to contribute to a collective vision while helping others build skills for their careers. Glaze is more than a magazine. It’s a supportive network that gives emerging creatives real opportunities, mentorship, and a place to grow. Being part of this team has transformed my confidence, my work, and my sense of community.”

“Glaze has been one of the most uplifting artistic experiences I have had in Austin. Glaze is a rare and powerful space where marginalized artists are not only invited in, but truly seen. I have collaborated with Glaze as a published stylist, a live exhibit stylist, and as a designer debuting a collection. In every project, the Glaze leadership made me feel supported, understood, and creatively empowered, which is something incredibly rare in Austin’s landscape, especially as a first-generation Mexican-American woman and LGBTQ+ artist.”
Glaze member since 2022 Photography Co-Director “Being part of the Glaze community for 6 volumes has allowed me to grow tremendously as an artist. The first volume I participated in gave me the confidence to partake in editorial work. This magazine gives members a chance to work with creatives and grow their skills by giving opportunities to emerging artists like me. Being a director and member has given me the opportunity to teach and learn about each creative department that partakes in a photoshoot. The community that has been built though all these volumes has given me life time friendships and immensely elevated my artistic practice!

“Thank you again for having me as part of Akrasia. I really enjoyed it and the audience was fantastic... I thought it was a very well put together night and things ran smoothly for us - I'm proud to have been a part of it.”
Founder, Bloodbath Studio
Featured Artist at Glaze NYFW event, 2025
“Working with Glaze Magazine during New York Fashion Week was an incredible experience. The group interview with Olivia was a bonding experience for our team, and it resulted in an intentional, thoughtful, and expansive write-up on our organization, Bloodbath Studio, that genuinely understood our mission and amplified it with care. Through the Glaze platform, we were invited to showcase our fashion films to New York audiences, building a bridge between Austin’s independent designer community and new creative ecosystems in NYC. Hosting our film showcase with them marked Bloodbath Studio’s first exposure to New York audiences, inspiring conversations, connections, and resonance beyond Texas. For an independent and grassroots organization, this is deeply appreciated. We’re grateful for their belief in our vision, their expertise to honor our story, and the momentum they continue to generate for emerging fashion-media intersectionality.”
