Glaze Magazine produces some of Austin's most creative independent cultural events, bringing together musicians, artists, designers, performers, and local businesses through fashion shows, magazine releases, SXSW programming, zine festivals, installations, and multidisciplinary events. We pride ourselves on creating ambitious experiences that feel polished while remaining community-driven.

Role
We're looking for an organized, people-oriented production assistant to help coordinate event logistics before and during our events. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating with artists and vendors while helping keep events running smoothly. This role is voluntary and unpaid with the exception of stipends (dependent on grant funding).

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in conversations with marketing and layout to ensure our materials align with our vision

  • Proposes ideas for events or activations

  • Communicate with vendors, artists, and community partners leading up to events

  • Event Day-of Support: 

    • Assist with vendor check-in, load-in, and load-out on event day

    • Staff the Glaze merch table during events

    • Help with event setup, breakdown, and production tasks as needed

Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Comfortable interacting with artists, vendors, sponsors, and attendees

  • Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure

  • Interested in arts, music, fashion, and community events

  • Previous event, hospitality, or production experience is a plus
