Glaze Magazine produces some of Austin's most creative independent cultural events, bringing together musicians, artists, designers, performers, and local businesses through fashion shows, magazine releases, SXSW programming, zine festivals, installations, and multidisciplinary events. We pride ourselves on creating ambitious experiences that feel polished while remaining community-driven.

Role
We're looking for someone with an eye for design who enjoys building immersive environments. This role supports the creative direction of our events through installation and decor. This role is voluntary and unpaid with the exception of stipends (dependent on grant funding).

Responsibilities:

• Assist with fabrication, sourcing, and preparation of event décor and installations

• Help load, transport, install, and strike set pieces

• Coordinate or assist with transportation of décor and equipment before and after events

• Maintain organization of props, décor, and production materials through the event lifecycle

• Collaborate with venue staff and event team during load-in and load-out

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with installation art, theater, fabrication, events, or visual merchandising

• Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable lifting equipment and working on-site before and after events

• Able to stay organized during fast-paced production days
